Vase Cleaning & Care Guide

Taking proper care of your vase will help preserve its beauty and extend its lifespan. Follow the tips below for safe and effective cleaning.

1. General Cleaning for Glass & Ceramic Vases

  • Rinse the vase with warm water immediately after use to prevent stains from setting.

  • Use a soft cloth or sponge with mild dish soap. Avoid harsh abrasives that could scratch the surface.

  • For hard-to-reach areas, use a soft bottle brush.

2. Removing Stains & Water Marks

  • Fill the vase with warm water and add a few tablespoons of white vinegar. Let it soak for 1–2 hours before rinsing.

  • For stubborn stains, mix baking soda with a little water to form a paste, gently rub, and rinse thoroughly.

3. Caring for Porcelain or Decorative Vases

  • Dust regularly with a soft microfiber cloth.

  • Avoid using strong chemicals or bleach.

  • Do not submerge delicate hand-painted areas in water for long periods.

4. Metal Vases

  • Wipe with a damp cloth and dry immediately to prevent rust or tarnish.

  • Use metal polish occasionally for shine (check manufacturer recommendations).

5. Storage Tips

  • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent fading.

  • Wrap in soft cloth or bubble wrap if not in use for long periods.

6. Extra Tips

  • Always remove flowers and water promptly after events to avoid mold or odors.

  • If using artificial flowers, clean both vase and flowers occasionally to keep dust away.
